Guitar & Bass Lessons at Music House

At Music House, private guitar and bass lessons are designed to teach students to be musical when they step outside of the lesson studio. That's why all of our guitar and bass lesson students, whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced, are encouraged to perform in our auditorium, join one of our Workshop Bands, and sign up for our free "Jam with the Pros!" sessions. The combination of our innovative curriculum, constant access to a dedicated faculty, performance opportunities, Workshop Bands, and monthly jam sessions creates an ideal environment for any budding guitarist or bassist. There's nothing else like Music House in Kansas City.

Guitar lessons & bass lessons are scheduled weekly, for 30 or 60 minutes, and are available at our Overland Park, Lenexa, & Prairie Village locations.

Absolute beginner?  We recommend starting in one of our Core Classes.

How do I sign up?

To sign up, call us at 913-562-4112 or click here to enroll. Some upper level workshops may require a brief evaluation by a program manager. Placement in non-beginner group classes may also require a brief in-person evaluation.

Do I need my own instrument?

Yes. For Core Classes, Workshops, and Private Lessons you will need your own instrument to practice with. The only instruments we provide at Music House are drums, pianos, microphones, and amplifiers.

Do you rent instruments?

No, but many local music stores close by rent and sell instruments. Call us for recommendations.

Will I need any materials?

Some lessons and classes may require materials like books and metronomes in addition to your instrument. If you're unsure of what to bring, never fear! We'll stay in touch prior to your first lesson if you have any questions.
