Schedule: Afternoon and evening hours. Mondays - Thursdays 2:00pm-9:00pm on management days or 4:00 - 9:00pm on teaching days. Fridays 1:00 - 7:00pm on management days or 3:00 - 7:00pm on teaching days. Occasional Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

Teaching

Teach private lessons in a way that builds on the strengths and interests of the student.
Lead group classes through the Music House curriculum.
Communicate and interact with parents, fellow teaching faculty, and administrative staff.
Track student attendance and maintain detailed teaching notes.
Sign students up for and prepare them for group and individual performances.
Create and/or follow lesson plans and teaching guides.

Client interactions

Socialize with our students and parents.
Greet new students, give tours, and contribute everything you can to making everyone feel seen and appreciated.
Facilitate delicate client interactions.
Give Booster Lessons and help with auditions.

Teacher Support

Check-in with teachers. Make sure they're on time and have what they need for a great teaching day.
Fill in for last-minute subbing situations as needed.

Community Outreach & Sales

Connect the outside world with our community by helping them truly understand our vision.
Help new potential students and families discover that Music House is far and away their best option for deepening their connection to the world of music.
Work with the Director of Outreach to continually improve our enrollment rate.

Supplies, Equipment, and Maintenance

Manage, direct, and maintain records on the equipment necessary to carry out the daily school routine.
Ensure the interior and exterior of the school is maintained to company standards.
Be willing to roll up your sleeves and do the task at hand when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

Enjoys handling a wide range of needs between students and teachers.
Organized and able to set priorities as needed.
Confident in problem-solving abilities while knowing when to consult a Director.
Energetic, outgoing personality - strong customer service skills.
Able to handle conflict management while adhering to Music House policies.
Desire for a career that results in continued personal growth.
Enthusiasm for change. We're a young business with an entrepreneurial spirit, so be prepared for an environment defined by evolution and growth.
Able to work efficiently with technology and workplace content management systems such as Asana.
Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
Musical training in the form of either a college degree or substantial professional experience.
Previous teaching experience.
At least 2 years prior stable work experience in a management position - REQUIRED.
Sales/retail experience is a plus.
Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking and listening).
Computer literacy is a must.
Experience with Google Apps (drive/docs, gmail, chrome), Microsoft Office suite, and Mac operating system a plus.
