Originally from Topeka, KS, Miss Hoover has spent the past 14 years living & teaching in the New Orleans metro. After graduating from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with double masters degrees and serving as minister of music at several area churches, she began teaching full time at the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts and at NOBTS.

Miss Hoover has over twenty years of performing experience and has coached many students to successful recitals, auditions, and other opportunities. Her notable performances and accomplishments include being the inaugural vocalist in the Topeka High Jazz Band, college pep band director and band president, Soprano soloist in Messiah at St. Louis Cathedral, and soprano soloist for Faure’s Requiem in the New Orleans Community Chorus. With years of experience teaching all ages from 4 years old to 90, there isn’t much she hasn’t encountered in the classroom. Miss Hoover can’t wait to help you start your musical journey!
