Heather Baldwin

Heather grew up in the Kansas City metro and has been part of its music community for decades. A proud graduate of the University of Kansas, Heather holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, a Master’s in Vocal Performance, and a Doctorate in Vocal Performance.

For more than 20 years, she has taught voice and piano while performing in a wide range of settings, from classical recitals and opera, to modern projects and ensembles, and is currently the vocalist and keyboards for Discord Industrial Opera - a local band that is a fusion of classical, rock and metal, and electronic music.

As an educator, Heather is passionate about helping students build both strong technique and confidence, encouraging them to find their own artistic voice while developing practical musicianship skills to collaborate with others.

Outside the studio, she enjoys reading, creating music-related video content, exploring history, and practicing embroidery. Joining Music House feels like a full-circle moment—an opportunity to give back to the community that first sparked her love of music.
