Amanda Hughey and Kelsey Cook LIVE in concert!

FREE show! Come see this unique Friday Night Concert! Music House guitar teacher, Amanda Hughey is bringing the music to the Overland Park location in Friday July, 17th from 7-830pm! Common Ground and The Chicken Street Crossers, two of Music House's own bands, will be opening for her! Check out her bio below and see what awaits-you DO NOT want to miss this one! 

Amanda Hughey is a Kansas City based Singer-Songwriter, making her way around the Midwest and greater US as a professional musician for almost 20 years. She has six commercial releases as a recording artist, including: “Sure As Gold” EP, “Who Does”, "Flowers in Hell", “What That Means” and her latest EP release, “Dark Side (totally stripped)”. All written and performed by Amanda. 

Amanda is also a guitarist and vocalist for the Kansas City-based all-female band, Flat Susan, as well as a lead vocalist for KC’s Premiere Wedding & Events band, Twice on Sunday and a co-producer for She Takes the Mic. 

Performing with Amanda will be Kelsey Cook!

Kelsey Cook (often known as "K.C. from KC") is a highly accomplished, Kansas City-raised, professional powerhouse drummer and percussionist, recognized for her energetic live performances and versatility. She holds a Music Degree in Percussion Performance from Washburn University and is well-known for her national touring, performing at major venues, and playing with the NFL Kansas City Chiefs Rumble Drumline as a Snare Drummer. She has been playing the drums since age 10. KC spent nearly a decade based in Nashville—playing at the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry—before returning to her roots to perform and teach in the Kansas City area.
