David has been a professional musician for over 20 years, with vast experience teaching piano/keyboard, bass, guitar and voice. Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, David was surrounded by music as a kid with his mother singing in church choir, and his dad was an organist. Even as a kid, he was fascinated by music and would dissect songs that he listened to on repeat. He recalls,“I wanted to try and understand what made the magic that had such a huge effect on me.” Later in life, he attended college in Minneapolis, and has traveled all over the world and worked as a leader/music director in church settings as well as in several professional rock and cover bands. In addition, he has a lot of studio and songwriting/production time under his belt. While David loves playing music of all types, he gets the most joy teaching and passing on his knowledge to his students, whether it be playing, music theory, or just general life skills. Outside of music, David likes to hang out with his kids, jog, play basketball, and spend time with friends.
