Boyd is a Kansas City native who first found his love for music playing in churches and community ensembles. He has played in many groups of varying styles in and around Kansas City and Missouri for fifteen years. Boyd has experience in many performance settings and genres of music including: jazz bands, jazz combos, classical - orchestra and small ensembles, funk, latin, gospel, rock, blues, choral, and jazz choir and as such feels that there is a place for every person in the world of music. He has a passion for teaching and learning and is excited to ignite that passion in others.
