Raised in a family of musicians, Pat started formal percussion training by the time he was twelve. His formative years were spent interacting with other young musicians. Just like the students at Music House, he learned by collaborating and performing. He later went on to UMKC’s prestigious Conservatory of Music, eventually becoming a highly sought after drumset artist and educator in the Kansas City area. In addition to prodigious studio work, Pat currently drums for the KC art/music fusion group Quixotic. Despite his active performance schedule, Pat is a teacher at heart. Throughout his teaching career, conducting clinics, masterclasses, and lessons, he has learned to welcome each of his student’s unique points of view. He believes that along with learning proper technique, students should pursue the music that excites and inspires them.
