Jon Self

Jon Self is a guitarist, trombonist, educator, and composer from Kirksville, MO. Having started as a self-taught guitarist, Jon understands a wide variety of musical perspectives. Recently graduated from UMKC with a B.M. in Jazz Studies, Jon employs a wide variety of teaching styles with plans individualized for each student. He has experience teaching beginner to advanced students of all ages, and has had students perform in various All-District and regional ensembles. He has a love for jazz and can be seen performing throughout the KC area.
