Iowa native Jennifer Weiman grew up dancing and singing around the house knowing music would be her life-long passion. After receiving her Masters of Music degree in Opera Performance at Wichita State University, Jennifer has settled in Kansas City in hopes of continuing to grow and learn as a musician and teacher. She has performed leading roles in professional operas as well as collegiate productions.
Throughout her career as a teacher, Jennifer has taught students of all ages and abilities. Her approach can be described as “welcoming.” “I believe that everyone can sing,” says Jennifer. “It’s my job to help my students discover that about themselves.” Her passion is to find what makes all of her students unique and then help them share it with the world through the language of music. Along with teaching voice, Jennifer is the alto section leader at Westport Presbyterian Church, instructs dance with Tippi Toes of Kansas City and has been singing with the Kansas City Chorale, a Grammy winning ensemble, since 2014. She has also had the opportunity to sing at several Kansas City Royals games and substitutes with choirs around the KC metro. When not in the practice room, Jen loves to play with her dog Sadie.
